We're renting a condo over Christmas in the Fountains section of the Vistana Resort for two weeks (renting from owners). We're also trying to get a second unit for four days in this section too (Doing a retail reservation through Redweek.com). We've always liked the Vistana grounds and amenities. I heard that Fountains had been renovated very recently and that was part of our reason for going ahead. Can anyone confirm this information? Have all the units been renovated? Has anyone seen the renovated units? What do you think? All reviews I've seen for these, appear to be prior to the renovation. I'd love to get more information. We've stayed at the Vistana Resort three other times -- twice in the Cascades (newer section) and nice. We also stayed once in the Fountains section before the renovation (not horrible or anything, but didn't measure up to the new sections or other great timeshare options in the area). I'm hoping that that's changed and would love to hear from others with more information.

We own in Fountains and saw the finished model in January while work continued on the units. Much better than before BUT very dark and gloomy unless you call Brown a bright color. Also, they did not break through any walls, leaving the same wasted space as before. On the other hand, the flat screen tv, for those who care, was larger than the one in our Lakes unit.
