Vistana Resort E-bay question

How safe is it to buy a TS off of E-bay, and can someone please advise me at what questions to ask?

My friend may be in the market for a timeshare at Vistana Resort, I was just saw one on ebay, I want to send it to her but also want to tell her what to be aware of.

Any input is appreciated.

I have bought 5 timeshares from ebay iwthout incident. The things I look for: a seller with a history of selling timeshares, an approaval rating greater than 98%, an offer to put funds into escrow. There are also threads here on TUG about different sellers- I am sure others will be able to guide you to the threads.
 
I have purchased 6 from eBay sellers without any serious incident. One took 6 months to close, the other five were all closed in 3 months or less.

My favorite sellers are: the laman34, namal43 group -- the Carefree Vacations group -- and the Sumday Vacations.

All will go to bat for a customer to make it work.

Limit your search to "top rated sellers" is one way to go.
 
Make sure she is aware that vistana resort is a voluntary resort, no StarOptions. If she wants StarOptions she will be looking for vistana villages key west or bella phase.
