I am usually pretty good at keeping up with the comings and goings here with regard to Vistana but I guess it's been a busy year and I've totally lost touch since the merger and with the introduction of access to MVC inventory. I've lost my way and wonder if we can gather the info in one place.

Can someone please update me on what in their inventory is available to us and how we can reserve using our SO's?

I know I received an email about Interval and Marriott but I have not had any luck with Interval at all in the past and had given up on it entirely. I guess I was never able to monitor the bulk deposits on II to score the perfect trade. Is that the only way? Is there a different procedure for Vistana owners to secure a Marriott? Are there rumors or expected changes in the integration of these 2 systems going forward?

Any help understanding would be greatly appreciated. I tried searching on this board but I am daunted. Even if there are prior posts here or articles you could fwd that explains the basics of how to expand our Vistana TS vacation location options.

Thanks

We have preferred access via II only . There has not been an announcement regarding a new System that will all SO/DP to utilized outside of II.

This is the status of Vistana access to Marriott and Marriott access to Vistana:

1) In January 2020 they launched preferred trading for legacy Vistana and legacy Marriott in Interval International. Vistana still gets first priority for Vistana II deposits and Marriott gets first priority for Marriott deposits, but after that, Vistana gets the next crack at Marriott and Marriott gets next crack at Vistana before other II members. These trades will also be priced as internal trades.

2) Last October, during Marriott Vacations Worldwide's Investor Day presentation at the New York Stock Exchange, they announced that they were working on a two phase integration of the legacy Vistana and Marriott points systems. The first phase will be announced and implemented in the second half of 2020, and will consist of a "common points currency" to facilitate bookings between the two systems. The second phase will be at a to-be-determined future time, after the first phase, and will be the transition to selling one single points product at all former Vistana and former Marriott sales locations. No specifics other than those two points were given.

That's all we know right now. This coming Wednesday morning the will have their fourth quarter 2019 earnings conference call for investors and Wall Street analysts. They could say something more then, or they might not.
