Any resort you check into can have some issues. We have not stay at any of the 3 resorts above. I can only suggest that you check TUGS Resorts & Reviews section on the 3 resorts. Good luck.
We stayed there over 10 years ago in a 3 bedroom, 3 bath unit. At that time, it was very nice. Don't know how well it has aged. I think there are different parts with different types of ownership. It was an easy drive to Downtown Disney (now Disney Springs) and rest of Disney.
Grand beach isn't much farther- they are across the road from one another. I consider them better choices for Disney due to proximity, but Polynesian Isles looks like a neat place!
Keep in mind that Sheraton Vistana has only two bedroom units. I believe the other resorts also have three bedrooms, as well as two bedrooms.
I think the Sheraton is going to have the most amenities for kids if you are after any on site activities. Plus they have 7 pools for you to choose from.
The Sheraton has been refurbished within the last couple of years. Don''t know about the other properties.
Don't know the other 2, but Fountains units are fixed 2 BR, in 3 story buildings, with no elevator. They are nice, large units, but be careful what floor you're assigned if steps are an issue.
Thanks! It looks Vistana Fountains are all 2 bedrooms, Polynesian Isles are 2 bedrooms, but Grand Beach 1 are three bedrooms (not sure if that's all they have or what's coming up right now). Grand Beach doesn't seem to have great recent reviews. We stayed in Vistana about 15 years ago and it was nice then...but that was a long time ago! There is always a lot of inventory in Orlando (non-school holiday week in 2017) so I'm sort of wondering if I just want to wait and see if Bonnet Creek makes an appearance or if everything else will slowly disappear over time....
To the OP, suggestion only if you select Grand Beach ask for a phrase I unit they are larger than phrase II units. GB do have elevators and it is not that far Disney and the interstate.
