Vistana cancelled us. Gave us just a 60-day window for refunded staroptions. Does that make sense?

According to the Vistana website the policy still states that any cancellations within 60-Days of check-in will receive Restricted Star-Options [can be used to search next 120-Days as opposed to previous 60-Days]. In addition they are extending the Expiry-Date for those Restricted Star-Options from Dec-31-2020 to Dec-31-2021.

In summary you get 2 x Search-Window + 1 Extra-Year to travel.

Your Options may show 60 days restricted for now, it seems to be a semi manual process to update them to 120. They should make the adjustment sometime in the near future.

We are keeping an eye on it and hoping that is the case. It seems strange that they would treat owners who stuck with them (and did not cancel) worse than owners who cancelled.

I believe they quoted somewhere around May 4 as the date the change would be reflected on line

Were these options from a week you own or some type of Home/Flex Options?

Doesn't work for any of my weeks. Is yours a developer purchased week?

Update: I just received notice from Vistana that we should see our 60-day window change to a 120-day window in about about 45 days.

actually I would expect the opposite. They were pretty clear that if YOU cancel, you get a relaxed restrictions. And the ones that didn't cancel as a no-show with more restricted/traditional options.

I'd actually expect the same treatment, but if there were a difference, I'd expect the no-shows to be not as good.
