Virus to get better in summer b/c of Heat

They gave results of testing on the combination of heat, humidity, sunlight outdoors. No one said it was definitely going to get better. They identified that heat and humidity is a weakness of the virus.

I heard someone, maybe it was Dr. Oz (who I don't trust) say that all the heat would do was slow down the spread of the particles in the air. I tried to find something that quoted him directly and I couldn't find what I had heard. But I did find a video of him and he said heat has NO effect, unless you are talking about food. He said, and I had heard this elsewhere, that if you do take out you should re-heat it when you get it home. That will kill the virus.

Its been in the 90's here in SW FL . We are breaking records. Doesn't seem to make any difference. I suppose the virus may die quicker on objects and packages left outside but that is about it. Heat has no effect on airborne transmission.

Right, it has been 93 94 and we are still hiding out

Unfortunately Possible Weakness of a virus doesn’t mean it goes away.

Ecuador has had over 11,000 cases and 560 deaths. It's always like summer there.

I presume Zika also wasn't affected by heat so there is precedence for virus to survive.

I thought some viruses typically lessened in the warmer months because people were outside in the fresh air, had their windows open and getting more vitamin D through sunlight. However that would be in areas that have cold winters. In southeast Florida where we live we are now keeping our AC on full time because it's in the high 80's and low 90's here.

This was said on the Prez Nightly; moments ago....Isn't it hot in Florida? NOW......And how's that working out for them?

Now...now Carta, I'm not detecting a bit of political undertone am I? :ponder:

Florida seems to be doing quite well, relative their later closing and early opening of beaches, etc. Only 91 deaths per million. Right in the middle of the pack.
