I do not think this is a huge thing, but for sometime now I have wanted to make it by the CCC Legacy Center in Edinburg, VA.

We found the Virginia Museum of the Civil War to be interesting. It's right off I-81 in New Market. Virginia Museum of the Civil War - Va Museum of the Civil War - Virginia Military Institute (vmi.edu)

One of the best things that came out of that day was that my kids saw the Civil War from a different viewpoint. The questions and conversations on the car ride back to Massanutten were amazing.

Claytor Lake named for W. Graham Claytor Sr 1886-1971 in Pulaski County, Virginia in the New River Valley of southwestern Virginia was created for the Appalachian Power County Hydroelectric Project. Construction of the dam that formed Claytor Lake began in 1937 and was completed in 1939.

We recently spent an afternoon at Belle Grove Plantation in Middletown, VA that was pretty interesting.

We went there last October, it is a very informative museum.

I can't recall the name, but we found an amazing book outlet not too far from the resort and bought lots of kids books.

We recently spent an afternoon at Belle Grove Plantation in Middletown, VA that was pretty interesting.

When I was on a tour at Belle Grove, which did horse breeding, the tour guide was talking about one of the famous Horse Sires. It was so mean that it could take the "sweet out of pie".
