I am trying to plan my vacation for Easter 2007 and I can pull a 2 bedroom at the Villas at Summer Bay. I see that the units are fairly small. I have a few questions about the units:

1) Have these units been refurbished like the units at Summer Bay Resort?

2) Will there be enough room for 2 adults and 3 young children?

3) If I make the exchange, can I upgrade to a 2 or 3 bedroom condo for an additional fee?

4) We have stayed at Vistana Village, Cypress Pointe, OLCC(West side), and Oak Plantation and have had good experiences at each one. How does Summer Bay compare?

Thank you.

Summer Bay is a nice resort. I cannot specifically address the Villas part. You could call them and ask the size of the units, compared to Summer Bay.

My family LOVES Summer Bay; however, we have never stayed in the Villas. There are new ones under construction right now, so you could likely request and be assigned a new building (customer service at Summer Bay is wonderful), but the Villas do have a down side that has always kept us from booking one: they have no patios or balconies. The condos at Summer Bay Resort have nice open air patios and balconies that overlook the lovely ponds, pools, grounds, lake, etc. The villas are more like apartments. They're nice and they're not really all that small, but they don't give you the wonderful vacation resort feel that the condos or house units do.

You can upgrade for $20/night to a condo; however, they permit that based on availability when you check in, and it's very unlikely that there will be empty condos around Easter.
