I am considering buying a resale at one of the Villa Group properties. I understand that if I purchase a gold membership I can use all of their resorts. Does anyone know if it is more difficult to reserve a week at an alternate property vs. your home resort? I am, of course looking for the best buy but don't want to buy at PV if I am planning on staying in Cabo, if the reservations are hard to come by.
Also Gold membership benefits mentions free upgrades "if available" just wondering how available a 1bdrm is vs. a studio.

In a nutshell if I plan to stay at the VD Arco in a 1bdrm should I just buy that or can I buy at studio at VD Palmar Cabo gold week and get the same benefit?
Thanks

Lesley, I posted a reply to you on your other postings. One thing to remember is if you plan on using a Studio, buy a Studio, there is no guarantee on getting a 1 bdrm. If you are lucky maybe when checking in, and only at that time can an upgrade be given, you might if there are any available be given a 1 bdrm. We bought 4 weeks 1 bdrm. and were very lucky this year to be given a 2 bdrm. upgrade for two weeks because we bought our family of 4 with us, so I was thankful for that. When the upgrade unit is available I am sure they will ablige, but don't bank on it, buy resale what you will be using most of the time and if you can get an upgrade to a 1 bdrm, it will be a bonus for you. :)
