All of the Villa Del Mar buildings are still standing, but the sliding glass doors have been removed. The quiet pool is closed. The gym door was open, but I didn’t see anyone in there. The air was on and all the equipment was there. The laundromat is open. The deli, sports bar, and large Palmita Market are closed. To the right of the laundromat, there is a very small market. The yogurt was almost room temperature as it sat on an open shelf in a refrigeration unit. The main lobby is unchanged.

Also, the windows and doors have been removed from the back building. I can’t tell if that applies to the other VDM buildings.

Finally got the permit thing figured out ? Sound like building 1 & 2 will be the better locations at the VDP pretty soon.

I don’t know anything about the permits. The latest email I got from UVC said construction won’t start until May of 2025 and that originally it was supposed to start May of 2024. By construction, I don’t know if that means demolition or actual construction. A bellman reminded me that the main building, building 3, would be taken down too. The kids center is now on the bottom floor of building 4, across from where the entertainment staff controls the sound. Occupancy the other day was 78%. That’s pretty good for the second half of October. Whoever does the marketing decisions for UVC is smart to offer BOGO deals to members during shoulder seasons. I for one am here because of the BOGO offer.

They have not done anything to building 3 yet other than move the kid‘s club to building 4.

Was there this summer. The place is a complete dump. It needs to be blown up.

It's probably the last year for this place. I have to agree with you but even so, I like the place for many reasons.

I wouldn’t call VDPM Puerto Vallarta a complete dump, but whatever. It’s very popular— mainly because of the location and the staff.
