How does one upgrade their membership by buying another membership from an owner at a higher level at Vidanta, without buying from Vidanta and dealing with all their misinformation and untruths?

Vidanta has done a pretty good job of eliminating resales.

Most Vidanta contracts since 2005 have a high transfer cost.and no MF unless used addendum
Our 2006 contract is 5 x current MF .Some More recent Grand Luxe contracts are 10xMF.

The Grand Mayan contracts from 2003 - 2005 that have a transfer cost of 10% of original purchase price
( likely approx .$ 2000 - 1 bedroom / $3000 for a 2 bedroom) are within 5 years of the 25 year renewal date that requires a 5x MF to renew. These may have value if you were planning on using for the next 30 years.

if you are looking for Grand Luxe - you may want to look in TUG Marketplace and Aimfair (spelling corrected)
The catch is the above mentioned transfer cost and getting one where all the weeks transfer - not just the one residence week for the remaining balance of it's 10 year life .
You may get more answers if @Karen G can transfer your thread to the TUG Mexican forum

It's actually Aimfair. I haven't bought, sold or rented anything through them, but they seem to have a fair amount of experience facilitating transfers.
