This summer, we will be taking one of my family units to RM (luxxe villa) rather than our normal NV (airfare waay cheaper). The last time we were there was pre cirque and pre jungula. A few of the grandkids are rather bummed out as they love NV - but they are not paying airfare. A few questions.

- Is there anything new concerning restaurants / pools to entice them - and my wife?
- I assume Jungula is open. Does my premier entertainment addenda for the parks in NV apply? Info on costs?
- any new off site attractions?
- My wife loves Bucerias. How does Puerto Morelos compare in terms of shopping / restaurants? We are familiar with Playa; I assume it is the same.

Thanks for any update. I hope all is well in Vidanta-land. Due to a lot of reasons. I don't get on TUG as much as in the past - but when I do, I realize that I am really out of touch with all the new Vidanta offerings.

Salum is the latest best thing at RM in my opinion. Several good restaurants to choose from. Another thing is they haven't touched the huge MP pool complex (yet), so that should be a plus as compared to probable crowding in NV pools now that their MP pool is closed.

I've not read anything about using the premier entertainment package from the Parks in NV for Jungala. Jungala is pretty pricey for a group. I think owners get a discount, but have not heard about a weekly pass. We did not do Cirque, but lots of folks did.

Puerto Morales is more like Bucerias than Playa del Carmen. Betty should like it.

The grand kids would probably like a trip to Xel-Ha or Xcaret. There are some excursions to Tulum with a stop at Xel-Ha on the way back. These would cost about double the cost of the Vidanta water park, but food is included. We went to Chichen Itza once, but it is a long day - mostly in a bus.

My "kids" liked taking the ferry to Cozumel (from Puerto Morales or Playa) for a day. They rented scooters and went to a beach on the other side of the island from the ferry dock.

As you already know - just make sure you have a credit card with a high limit when taking kids and grands on vacation! :) But the memories are worth it. :)

Didn't use our entertainment package at Jungula last trip to RM because it hasn't opened yet, but we did get the discount for Joya. My understanding is that it works there, though. Best bet to confirm is to call them.

Some friends of mine went last year and they did mention that a week pass for Jungala was available with a discount, but they forgot what it was (they did a combo Joya/Jungala pass which was discounted a bit). I vaguely recall on one of the FB groups for Vidanta that someone else mentioned the weekly pass rate, but not sure if it was confirmed.

Friends were staying on SFX guest cert/exchange, so not owners or owners discount, nor did they attend the presentation.
