Vidanta has reduced the RCI 1 in xx rule from 1 in 4 / to 1 in 3
There also seem to be some resort fee revisions.

It is very recent - I noticed it this morning. Nov 24 -2022

One addition- I can currently only see Mayan Palace and Sea Garden resort codes.
I am not sure if this is a filter based on my Mayan Palace level ownership ( I cannot book above MP using RCI / per the Vidanta RCI restrictions) or
that Vidanta is revising the RCI listings for their other brands.

Happy Thanksgiving.

Is anyone getting the idea that maybe Vidanta was being ridiculous with the fees?

I suppose this is somewhat welcome for those who wish to exchange into Vidanta properties. I've only done it a few times (via RCI) and each time I got what I felt were the substandard unit locations. Parking lot views, etc. and along with aggressive sales force, they are not a high choice for a Mexican vacation.

Vidanta has always been very cognizant of their goals :
IMO - as follows

1 ) Keep their resorts filled with happy vacationers
2) Have sufficient availability for their owners ( RTU / float ) especially in peak snowbird season.
3) Supply Vida Sales with new prospects.
4) Keep improving their resorts using the dollars gained from sales

They have regularly adjusted exchange filters as a result.
