I can find 1 or 2 bed at The Bliss at Vidanta Riviera Maya for 7500 points with resort fees. I just don't understand the fees disclosure as such. Anyone understands how much mandatory resort fees I have to pay for 1-bed, 1050 or 1890?

Hi @iftravel
Vidanta never left RCI .

In mid June 2024 there were no listings for about 2 weeks and then the new resort fee structure was listed with an effective date of June 15 2024and listings reappeared.

The resort fee varies by brand and has a correlation to the owner MF structure. The weeks listed on RCI [ and other TS exchanges are developer owned weeks and therefore Vidanta wants income for the use of these weeks] - therefore the resort fee structure.

A one bedroom is $ 1050 [ The higher amounts listed for each size unit is for guests ( ie 0 someone not listed on your RCI membership.

I see. That's helpful. Do you mean the higher fee is for someone with a guest certificate. If I am going, no mather how many guests with me as long as it can accormodate, it should be the lower fee of $1050? I guess the fee was lower before, but for 7 days, it's not like a crazy amount and still a steal compared to booking directly. Am I right?

Yes, the resort fee is higher if there's a Guest Certificate involved (almost double).
Their "direct booking" is a laughable rate, IMO.

I'd still check redweek.com to see if you can get directly from an owner for same/less.

Makes sense. One more thing if anyone has experience. If I am going with a friend's family and I booked two units. Do I have to get a guest certificate for the other family, or am I fine checking into two rooms the same time, paying the lower fee?

2 units = 2 resort fees

[If you & spouse are both on RCI acct - you might be able to book both at lower resort fee / I am not sure how this works ]

if you book a 2 bedroom = 1 resort fee. The unit set up is as a lock off ; so seperate entrance doors & the front desk can program your wrist band keys separetely.

You could also try @hurnik suggestion and rent from an owner.[ no resort fee]
The 3 & 4 bedroom Grand Luxxe and Estates units are not on RCI .
That could work for 2 families - if you can comfortably share a unit larger than 3000 sq feet.

OK. I got it. I cannot check into two units, paying 2x lower resort fees. The two-bed lockoff is a good idea.

I am getting more interested in Vidanta now I read more into it. It seems to beat many all-inclusive resorts even if I dine on premise and it offers a super luxury feeling. Curious which resort would be best for kids around 7.
