We’re in PV and attended the sales presentation as we have for the last three years after purchasing red week rentals. After declining upstairs and 4 times downstairs, we finally purchased a deal which seemed to make sense. $3,500 total cost. No tax. 1 week Grand Mayan - w/ $1200 usage fee. 2 additional vacation weeks @$299.00. “Lifetime Membership”
The Catch. During the presentation we were told we could book for next year this time in 15 days once our membership was processed. But upon signing we were told that Vidanta weeks could only be booked 150 days out and that it was this way for all members. Further that we
wouldn’t look any different in the system from someone that purchased upstairs. Is it true that 150 days out is the max. We typically have come to Vidanta the week after Christmas every year and have good luck just purchasing on Red Week. Any insight would be appreciated.

Owners at the GM level can typically book at the 6-month point, I believe; 12 months if they have enough invested w/Vidanta to be considered Silver level (old Profile A, I believe). Rescind if it doesn't match what you were made to expect by the sales folks; worst that can happen is they fix it for you.

You bought an exit package - no registered week / 150 day ARP
Full contracts with a registered week have 6 month / 180 day ARP (or more - depending on Vidanta brand)

If there is remaining January availability ; after full ownship GM contracts have done their reservations ,you can access what is left .

It is what it is / and may or may not meet your expectations .

Is the access through Vidanta Reservations or one of their “access portal concierges “ ?
ie) SFX or a brand of ICE such as Private Reserve Traval Club , Destinos Unlimited etc.

Just a quick follow-up to say that we cancelled today. I must say that they were professional about it. We mutually agreed that they technically did not have to refund our "Lifetime Membership" fee, but also agreed that perhaps what they sold was not represented entirely accurately. All told, I'm not sure that it is not such a bad deal if your flexible, but we are just too tied to certain weeks to be behind the curve making reservations after everyone has had their pick. Thanks all for the info.
