Vidanta Weeks through Dec.2026 have been released on RCI as of Friday April 11th-2025.
The June 15-2025 Resort Fee Structure remains in place.

For Nuevo Vallarta the following RCI resort codes are listed:
RB71 - Grand Luxxe
F123 - Grand Luxxe IV
F121 - Grand Luxxe Celebrate Loft [ added info in post #5 for this resort code]
7491 - Grand Mayan
6631 - Mayan Palace

6634 - Mayan Palace at Puerto Vallarta Marina is also listed .
Resort Codes for other Vidanta locations / brands in : Riviera Maya- Acapulco-Mazatlan-Cabo / San Jose - Puerto Penasco are available

The June 15 -2025 resort fee structure remains in place with no changes.
Note- the resort fee is similar in cost to a Vidanta owner MF / Usage Fee for the same size unit & brand .
These are developer weeks - so the resort fee is the primary income to Vidanta for your usage of the week via an exchange.
The previous 1 in 3 rule was removed.

The conditions are that:
1) RCI subscriber 1&2 pay the $ xx resort fee ; with a guest resort fee cost being significantly higher.
2) Vidanta owners are not allowed to use RCI for exchanges into Vidanta.

Here is the link to the 2024 thread on the resort fees.

anyone exchanging has the Total Cost of the resort fee + their own MFs for their own unit they exchanged + any exchange fee
Are you saying a Vidanta owner has a MF (Usage) similar to that Total Cost?
Or are you saying a Vidanta owner has a MF (Usage) similar to that resort fee only?

Hi @WaikikiFirst,
The resort fee is parallel to the MF / Usage Fee a Vidanta owner pays when they book a week **
These weeks on RCI are developer weeks for which Vidanta does not collect any MF / Usage Fee from an owner / member .

The Resort Fee for a 1 bedroom Mayan Palace is $ 1050 .
My 2025 MF / Usage Fee for the same unit is approx. $ 1030 .

Our contract's booking window is 6 months - so Aug.1 we can book any Feb. 2026 week.
You can book Feb 2026 right now via an RCI exchange.

A two bedroom is [ generally] 15 TPU and a one bedroom is 13 TPU [ for most snowbird weeks ]
+ your exchange fee.

** Vidanta contracts since late 2005 do not have a required annual MF .
[ via an addendum / that does not transfer on resale]
You only pay when you book a week .

I looked and looked again just now and the resort fee for a Grand Luxxe is just crazy. Here is what I see when I look at exchanges or extra vacations.

Hi Bill ,
This is what I see in my RCI weeks account - for RCI subscribers 1&2
For RB71 - Grand Luxxe at Vidanta Nuevo Vallarta / For F123 - Grand Luxxe lV at Vidanta Nuevo Vallarta

Hotel unit - $ 1540
1 Bedroom - $ 1890 [ 1726 sq ft listed for RB71 ]
2 Bedroom - $ 2660 [ 3187 sq feet listed for F123]

The Resort Fee for F121 GL Celebrate Loft is showing the higher fee you listed
I believe the Celebrate Loft units are inside the Vidanta World BON Theme Park ; and are also much smaller.
Hotel unit - $ 1820 [ 327 sq ft] / 1 Bedroom - $2730 [ [ 527 sq ft]

aww, hey, G Luxxe is a bahgun. On the HGVC version of RCI they quote $1890 for that RF. And, get this, on the HGVC version of RCI, it costs the same # of pts to reserve 7 nights at any of the levels, so that GL, real bahgun. pretax Total Cost for 1 wk = $1890 + $300 RCI fee + (I'll ballpark) roughly $700 for HGVC pts used = $2890.
The $700 could range from $500 to $1000 (or more I guess) depending on the MFs on the deeds someone owns in his/her portfolio. Got HGVC? $2890 isn't terrible. It isn't all-inclusive and I don't know if GL adds anything other than "Luxxe"

The crazy thing is they seem to have wiped out any possibility of owners being able to rent their wks out, assuming they have to get a Guest Cert to do so. The Guest resort fees are truly crazy. at least that is how I interpret it.

Are the guest resort fee's the same as the exchange resort fee's ?

I don't think so. I think when you read that long paragraph about Resort Fees, the 1st (smaller, but not small) fee listed for each room size is for a simple exchange and the 2nd (larger) fee is for anything needing a Guest Cert. In the ones you pasted, the Guest Fee is 150% of the std exchange resort fee

No -
1 )Let’s say you & your wife are on your RCI acct
That makes up “ Subscriber 1&2 “ -
So your resort fee for:
RB71- Grand Luxxe NV: : 2bd =$ 2660 / 1bd = $ 1890 / hotel-studio = $ 154
7491- Grand Mayan NV : 2bd = $ 1750 / 1bd = $ 1190 / hotel-studio = $ 980
6631 -Mayan Palace NV ::2bd = $ 1260 / 1dbd = $ 1050 / hotel-studio = $ 770

I believe this resort fee is similar to an owner MF / Usage Fee.
Perhaps GL owner @pittle can confirm. for Grand Luxxe.
************
2) Let’s say I ask you to book for me to get around the Vidanta restriction on owners booking through RCI
This would result in the higher guest resort fee being charged.
It also looks like the higher guest resort fee is charged for multiple week exchanges.

@easyrider - as you know there is a subset of visitors who use Puerto Vallarta Area Timeshares to avoid winter [ for 3 to 12+ weeks]
3)I think Vidanta wants to limit the extent of multiple week stays from exchangers.

4)I think Vidanta also wants to get income for developer owned deposits that is equivalent to the MF / User Fee for that size unit & brand .

My guess is that Grand Luxxe. 2-bedroom usage fee is at least $2660. It was $2569.20 per week when I did my 10 year renewal December 31, 2023, so that was the 2024 usage fee. Generally the increase is close to $80-$90 per year. It was just under $1300 in 2013 on our first GL visit. I did use an extra week for friends to go to the GM in PP last year ant that fee was $1440 for a 2-bedroom.

I do not keep up with the fees now that I do not have to pay usage fees because of my Senior Certificate. I can go 2 weeks a year in a 2-bedroom GL, or a 2-bedroom + a 1-bedroom at the lower levels (for each of my weeks) at no charge. I have 2 other weeks that I can pay for if I want too, but I am ok with just using my "free" weeks. It makes me appreciate the wait for the Senior Certificate to kick in - this year I am doing a 2-bedroom Grand Luxxe in RM with friends, then a week at PP GM in a 2-bedroom, and a week at the MP PV Marina in a 1 bedroom. That is $5460 to subtract off my original investment with Vidanta. We used 3 weeks in 2023, I used 3 in 2024 too, so if I get to do this for 8 more years, I our original investments will have basically pre-paid for these weeks.

In December 2033, I will not renew my contract as I do not plan to travel for 10 more years since I will be 87 when the renewal comes again.
