Looking to visit in July with a large family group and looking to understand how the resort handles quarantine if someone in your party tests positive. I read they have onsite tests which is great, but what if someone tests positive? Do they transfer you to another room or allow you to stay in same room, etc? If they transfer you, how are the accomodations? Thanks!

The paperwork around the testing says you need to call some number if you test positive. I took that to mean perhaps the testing (which is not performed by Vidanta but a medical contractor) may not automatically notify Vidanta. We joked about testing positive to stay in Mexico longer but alas it didn't happen. Seriously though, we had two people in our party who recently had covid and we were concerned about false positives. Not that I recommend it if you are sick but the testing is only a requirement for air travel to the US. You could fly to Tijuana, walk over the border and fly home from San Diego without any testing requirement.

The way things are lately; No need to go to Tijuana to walk over the border. Just find a gap in the fence and come on home!
