I paid to use someone’s ambassador pass and stayed in a 3 bedroom estates unit. I passed on doing the presentation but am wondering how much it is to have the membership. The prices I’m seeing on redweek are nonsensical.

Am I ever allowed to come back on an ambassador pass? What if it is booked in someone else’s name? Somehow I don’t think I’ll ever be able to go for a week at that price again 😢

We stayed at the Grand Mayan in Playa Del Carmen and it was a great resort. I won't quote you prices because it was a while ago and I am sure they have changed/how many points you are buying etc. I will say it made me think about it for a bit, but you might want to see if you can find it on the secondary market.

We and many other members rent out our extra weeks, there are many great room configurations at the grand luxxe level up to the estates. We personally have access to the 4 bedroom residence unit, is over the top. Rent, when during a non holiday week, may be surprisingly similar to the estates pricing when you work directly with an owner. Alternatively the 3 bedroom Spa units are great too, and at less of a cost then the Estates. I think being closer to and within the original resort and not so far away has its perks. Also with the members units you may receive their benefits. Our 3 bedroom has complimentary golf and spa & the 4 bedroom has complimentary golf and 2 for 1 spa benefits. (among other misc. benefits)
