Hi -
We're traveling to Vegas at Thanksgiving.
We'd love to take our dog so that at least some days we can take him out for walks, hikes, and playing in the park. We figure it would be better than leaving him here for a week in a kennel without us at all.

He's not good for pet-friendly timeshares. He barks too much :(
He's a Shiba Inu so he doesn't just bark, he.... yodels :)

Anyway - if anyone has any first hand experience with a kennel, especially one near Grandview, I'd love your recommendation.

Thanks!

We've taken our dogs to Doggie District many times. This location is not far from Grandview: http://www.doggiedistrict.com/location/doggie-district-silverado/

The nice thing about Doggie District is the dogs get to go outside. So it's great for dogs who are very well potty trained and would get constipated from trying to hold it if they're at an indoor-only kennel.

I use Brent and Steve at Rover.com, but they'd be too far away for you if you are at Grandview. You might want to check with some of the other dog sitters, thought. It is a much better option than a kennel. IMHO.

I've seen the inside of Doggie District. It is clean and the play area is nice, as long as it isn't summer.

No matter what sort of dog care you decide to use, make sure that you bring a copy of your dog's shot records. Without them, you won't find anybody who will take your dog.
