Just wondering if anyone can tell me how much an owner pays for AI at VDP Flamingos. Taking the grandkids but last time we were there places to get groceries were not close unless things have changed.
There is now both a mega and walmart close by.the cab ride is cheap.unless the food has gotten better I would not recommend ail Bucerias is also a nice walk on the beach
We just booked some days of AI at Flamingos for my granddaughter and husband on their honeymoon at Flamingos starting April 29th. Last winter when we were there the IA was $89 per adult, but now they have a special for $75 per adult with children under 12 at half price. You have to book at least three consecutive days. We usually book three days so we can take advantage of some of the other restaurants in the area, but you can book the whole week if you want to. We usually take a taxi to the Mega market out on the highway (about $7.00 each way) the first day and stock up on groceries that we want to work around our 3 days of IA. Then we're pretty much set for all week. It's a wonderful resort. Have fun! Here is the email address of the concierge that we booked with. dsachs@reortcom.com or you can just call the resort headquarters.
If you do the presentation you can ask for reduced all inclusive rates.
I didn't care for the food at Flamingos. There is some strange flavor added to breakfast sausage, potatoes and a few other items that left an after taste. The all inclusive at Flamingos does not cover the restaurants next door at the Enstancia leaving you with only two restaurants and pool service to choose from in the AI deal.
The bugers and deli items at the Palmita were very good. The Palmita is the on site deli / mini market.
I agree that the deli is good; but I wouldn't get the AI even for a few days.
You can walk to Mega and taxi back (40 pesos should be plenty). Or take the bus to Walmart in Nuevo, or Chedraui.
Lots of restaurants in Bucerias (can walk along the beach ..its about a mile)
Estancia next door is nice, but expensive (and not included in AI)
Yes, I just found out you DO have to do a 90 min presentation to get the $75 rate. Yuk! Oh well, you can just get up and walk away after 90 minutes
(maybe if you're lucky!)
