We are members but have never been to Cancun, only to Cabo? Curious how easy it is to get to restaurants etc. We usually get breakfast and lunch items at grocery and go out to eat for dinner, not big on the all inclusive. Any advice would be great before we book our next trip.

Been to the VDP Cancun many times. It is actually in Punta Sam next to the car ferry to Isla Mujeres. We always rent a car and go to Costco and then next door to Costco at Mega for supplies. The water at the resort is filtered and treated but it is well water and usually has an odor that you get use too. We don't drink it. There are not alot of restaurants outside of the resort.

We take the ferry to Isla Mujeres for at least a couple of day trips every time we are at this resort. Plenty of restaurants.

The resort is decent sized. The one and two bed units are similar to the Arco and Flamingos with the difference being the deck furnishings. The decks in Cancun have a hammock. Really easy to fall asleep in these.

There is an adult pool at the Cancun resort. The resort food is pretty good. There is a sushi restaurant which is my favorite. We don't do the AI and just order off the menus when we dine at the resorts. It is a pretty nice resort.
