Have a large group going. Thinking it would be easier to just rent a van for the group.
Anyone have an experience with any vendors vs just trying to guess from google.
If I had to go to Hawaii with 12 people - I wouldn’t go!

We just got back from a family reunion in Waikiki Beach with about 25 in attendance. We had a great time because everyone arranged their own hotel stays and we just met up each day for hiking, sight seeing, eating, etc. We all reserved our Luau dinner in advance at the same location.I would. It sounds like more fun than sitting here, lol.

I second this. Reality is that not all 12 people will want to do all of the same activities. Having two vehicles will make it easier for people to separate and do the activities that they enjoy or are capable of, while rendezvousing in the evening to do things together. For example, in a group of 12 people it is likely that there will be some people who will want to do more physically strenuous activities than others are interested in or capable of.Far easier (imo) to have 2- 3 row SUVs or vans. Parking is also a consideration. SUVs fit in 'normal' parking spaces. 16 pax buses don't.
Sounds like a bunch of old farts like myself complaining about youngsters wasting their money on cell phones, Taylor Swift concert tickets, and avocado toast.Sounds like fun times. I love our family reunions.

And, as Jim pointed out, parking is a significant consideration.

If you book through Discount Hawaii Car Rentals, you likely will be able to get reservations that allow two extra drivers for each vehicle. So, if you have two vehicles, with three drivers per vehicle, that means that half of your group will be able to operate a vehicle. That will give you tremendous flexibility to customize vehicle usage in relation to differing group interests.
It depends on the itinerary and the group, imo. If everyone is going to the same place, one van would be perfect in that you know where everyone is, you only pay one rental fee and only need one parking spot.

I don't know, even when we travel with just another couple we usually get separate cars.. just so we can each go off and do different things. But your right that different groups have different dynamics.
