We've been here five nights, and have four nights to go. So if anybody has any questions, fire away. There are no restrictions at all as far as covid is concerned, except that the kids activity center is closed. There had been word that the workout room was closed due to remodeling, but it is now open. And they were also doing external painting, but that is now all complete, and looks very nice.

As far as parking is concerned we have three units here to our owner weeks, and one is an interval trade. We used a Ko Olina studio to trade in but there is no charge for parking for that room. We have a total of five cars, for our three rooms. So that means we had to do something with two cars. Harvey's and Harrah's are now charging for parking, $20 a day, but Hard Rock has free parking. And as you enter the Harrah's parking lot from highway 50 with CVS on your left, the gates for the parking lot are up and inside behind the casino. So as you go up the driveway toward the paid parking and round the corner of the casino there are 15 to 20 spots that are outside the fee area and are free. So I have my part car parked there right now. If you go in that same entry and turn to the left there is a lot for CVS and another casino, but you can get towed if you park in there.

We were under red flag conditions for a couple of days, and the smoke was a little nuisance for one of those days.. Because of the red flag they turned off the barbecues, but they're back on now.

They are back to having some activities. The grandkids have done glass etching and scavenger hunt and Buddy bracelets so far.

Our first night was Friday night, we ate a late lunch, and went out at 8:30 to have dinner. We went to gunbarrel Pizza the wait was 2 hours! There was a band playing in the heavenly village plaza area, and there were people everywhere! So we walked up the street to stateline pizza and went downstairs and got right in. No ambiance, but at least we got to eat. The next night we ordered take out from gunbarrel and it was fantastic. We had pasta, Caesar salad, and garlic bread, and sat by the pool with our own adult beverages and had a great meal. There was still a band, and there was still a big crowd, and there was quite a lead time for a food, but we were prepared for that and it worked out perfect.

I'm doing this on my phone by the pool with a beer so pardon any syntax/spelling errors ;-)

Just to clarify for others. Gunbarrel is Gunbarrel Tavern & Eatery, just west of the gondola cable, closest to TL. Base Camp Pizza is kitty corner. Both have patios and live music so not sure which you are referring to. Both are good, always full, but pretty different menus.

Oops, my bad. Yes indeed, it was base camp! And it was base camp that had the two-hour wait the night before.

Base camp is usually our first go to on arrival. Always packed during busy times. Not sure why we've never been to Stateline Brewery, menu looks good.

Valet parking is mandatory? Has it always been that way here? I have read on some TripAdvisor reviews the wait is very long to either park or retrieve a car. We're coming end of September. Hopefully less crowded and still OK weather....that was the idea. Thanks.

For as long as I can remember yes. I've never waited more than 10 min to pick up or1 minute to drop off keys at busy times.

I thought a studio got a parking space.
It does. A three bedroom gets 2 parking spots, if divided the two bedroom gets parking spot and the studio gets the second parking spot.

You no longer call for your car to be picked up, you send them a text message. Then they send you a text back that tells you they're on the way to pick it up, and they send another text that says it's been delivered.

You can always unload bags in the check in area and then go park at Harvey's for free. I'm actually doing that right now (in the middle of a 4 day "encore" visit). Saves $30/day + tips and you can actually get to the car a little faster than waiting for the valet.
Last time I was at TL, after years of parking there, a security presence was very active.

I'm here now, and I tried parking at both Harveys and harrah's, and they both have a $20 per day fee, but hard rock is not charging.
