I saw a segment on tv news about this honorable project. It took some googling to find their website 'cause RCI's rental company kept hitting on google (RCI should really give free vacations to wounded vets, imho).

Has anyone given a timeshare stay to this non-profit project to help a wounded vet get away from it all? Seems like a good way to do good, if you're paying maint fees and not using your timeshare yourself...and to honor vets who've served in two very long wars: http://www.vacationsforveterans.org/

I saw that same segment and the one donor was shown at her computer, which was logged on to the Wyndham site!

Good eyes! :D

Wyndham points can be used for booking a vacation for vets, yes indeedy. If the non-profit is incorporated as a 501(c)3, then the donor can get a tax break, too. That seems to be a great use of Wyn pts for folks who've bought too many...like me.

Also consider where would be good - Orlando unfortuantely is often way too expensive if the vacationer wants to go to the parks - how about booking a nice warm vacation in Scottsdale or Sedona etc. Funtime
