My sister is sorely tempted to fly down there in response to a promotion, and am wondering whether anyone has any familiarity with this place - business practices, quality of the resort, villas, etc.

Thank you!

If I recall correctly this is an old resort. As well, you usually don't stay at the resort on these types of promos but rather at a 2 - 21/2* hotel so my advice would be to NOT GO. You can get way better deals on your own without having to sit through a 2+ hour timeshare promo (and a lot of people, despite saying that they won't buy, get caught up in the moment and spend $$$ for a timeshare (and even very luxurious ones) which you can find for free on the internet in many cases).
