Security concerns
Hello
we are staying at Vacation Village for two weeks and the resort seems empty. it appears that the resort is really picking up their security at the resort. Did something happen at the resort to cause the increase ? We have stayed here at least ten times before and never had this level of security.

So it was a very slow two weeks and security definitely has increased from our last stay.

Did you feel safe there? We are going the end of the month.

I know the question wasn't directed at me, but we have stayed there over half a dozen times and have always felt safe there, even when walking the grounds in the evening. We were there last November for a week in bldg.6 (closer to the front of the property) and also witnessed an increase in security patrols from our previous visits. Although there is no security gate to enter the property we have only ever seen non-guests at the pools and only in the daytime. I don't know if it is still a problem but some of the locals knew they could drive in and get into the pool areas of many buildings. I advised the front desk when we saw a woman drive up Parkway Blvd. park by bldg.2, get 3 kids, a cooler and pool toys out of the car and walk around to the gate and enter the pool area a few years ago. The buildings' main entry doors are unlocked during the daytime but get locked in the evening so guests must use their room key to get in the building.

We even walk down Irlo Bronson/US192 to Old Town on a Friday or Saturday night to see the old cars and feel safe, although we are usually back by 10pm.

Thanks, although we live in the area, we have never stayed at VV.
