Vacation Village in the Berkshires pet policy

Are there any owners at VV Berkshires here? I see that now you must be an owner to bring your pet. My question: If I rent from an owner, can I bring my pet? (I'm thinking probably not.)

I am a Massanutten (VV Affiliate) owner. I Exchanged via RCI and did not have any issue over the summer. I am guessing that it is done to discourage non-owners from booking prime July-August weeks. There is usually plenty of availability the other months, so would call the Resort Reservations line in advance to inquire on the weeks wanted.
