A good friend of mine owns a timeshare at Vacation Village at Parkway, biennial
usage. She did stay here a couple times, but has made another suggestion
to me. She has told me to get a 2br lock out with cheap MF's then put both
rooms into the RCI pool and trade them for 2 vacations. She said that she
traded a 1br and got a 2br at Wyndam Bonnet Creek (which by the way, looks gorgeous!). She's actually there right now for this week of October. I was wondering what are the odds on me being able to do the same thing,
but for the end of April 2012, after Spring Break, at Bonnet Creek. AND
if I trade both rooms separately, can I use one in 2012 and the other in
2013 or do I have to use both trades in the same biennial year?
I just don't know. I know I want Bonnet Creek, and I know I want cheap MF's.:bawl:

Bonnet Creek has value seasons in parts of both fall and spring, during which 112K ClubWyndham points will reserve a 2BD for a week. That's about $550-$600 (in maint fees) for the week. If you really want to be able to reserve Bonnet Creek, perhaps the best route is to buy some resale Wyndham Points.

If you buy an RCI-weeks trader with a great TPU to maint fee ratio, and after you get done payng the $90 annual RCI membership fee and the $190 RCI trade fee, I think you may be able to trade into Bonnet Creek for a little less than the maint fees. But, the availabilty and choices are much better using points and booking through the internal Club Wyndham system.

Bonnet Creek is not that plentiful in RCI but you'd have no problems getting a room if you own Wyndham points. IMO if you want to stay at BC then I'd own Wyndham points or just rent from a megarenter/owner who will probably give you a better deal than owning yourself.

You don't have to own your Wyndham points at BC to get into BC.
