Hi All,

Do you think the vacationers will be as predominant in 2023 as they've been this year, or will it level out to a more normal population of travelers? Do you have a crystal ball? Mine broke!

The news stories I've seen say that current passenger load is almost back to 2019, pre-pandemic levels. My crystal ball says that next year we'll get there. Meaning slightly more traffic than this year, back to a "more normal population of travelers".

What about use of timeshares? Do you think reservations will be even more hard to secure or lighten up over what the pace has been in the past year?

Just my speculation: I think after people use up their (Covid) accumulated timeshare deposits, things should calm down to a degree, because the rush will be reduced. I doubt inflation will amount to much difference in traveling volumes. I think people will simplify in other ways to cut costs, but will still be using their timeshare ownerships. Those timeshare Weeks and Points are not going to use themselves.

2023 is expected to be an active year for tourists who want to travel and see the world. Our Team is enthusiastic about the year to come and has done thorough research to disclose the travel trends of 2023, including the destinations passengers wish to visit, the sources of inspiration for their travels, and how much of a part budget plays in their plans.

For timeshares, a lot of people had banked or saved weeks/points that they needed to use or lose. Occupancies were unusually high for most of the timeshare brands in 2022. I think this will trend back to more normal levels.

I'd love to see the report. Is that for other eyes than your team? My background is market research (with P&G) prior to becoming a Realtor 5 years ago.
