I have an RCI account with my VI ownership which I pay the usual RCI annual fee. Recently I noticed on the VI website that there is a link to II where I can apply for a membership. I phoned VI to get more information and my call was forwarded to their sales department. It was like attending a sales presentation over the phone!! The sales guy offered me some ridiculously priced point packages that would include an II membership. I explained that all I wanted was to apply for an II membership, instead of RCI, because I already have an RCI account with my other ownership. So he eventually told me that the cost of getting an II membership through a VI portal was $4600 plus annual fees!! I told the sales rep that they should just remove the II link on their website because the cost was totally unreasonable. For any VI owners.....is all of this true?

Are you a legacy owner, or an owner with their club program? I'm a legacy owner and our membership is $89.00/year. The dedicated phone number for VI owners to reach II is: 1.800.622.8110. Perhaps someone at that desk can help you with a membership. We've been owners of VI since 1979 and have been using II exclusively for our exchanges for at least the last 15 years. Good luck with your inquiries. CJ

Thank you for that phone number mauitraveler. The VI/II rep told me that I could apply for an II membership on-line. I did that and filled in all the details about my ownership. On the final screen I got a message that "my resort did not permit enrolments at this time", so my application was rejected. I own at Rosewood Inn (RWI) and it is listed in the II Resort Directory. This resort was initially owned by Aviawest and was taken over by VI 2 years ago when the developer encountered financial difficulties. So I guess I am stuck with paying for a 2nd RCI membership as the VI resorts never seem to work with my travel plans.

I own both WM and VI purchased resale.
No problems linking WM to both II and RCI
Having same issue with II and VI.
Have not tried RCI as my 3 year term with them expires this year and I don't intend to renew. Also, resale WM is RCI weeks and VI is RCI points.

I did do a great trade through VI's DEO program. Gave them a WM week that cost me about $500 in maintenance fees and got 133 VI points worth about $930 in VI program
