We have always purchaed Vacation Guard Insurance thru the Marriott for primary medical outside of the US. In an upcoming trip, we will be 8 days at timeshare so we are covered, but the remaing 7 days will be at the hotel. Basically, Medicare is new to us, and it's not covered outside the US. How have others purchased thru Vacation Guard the medical piece or other plans available. Since we'd already be there, we wouldn't need the cancellation component.

I have compared policies many times and purchased via insuremytrip.com You can put in the cost and dates then compare the various components you are interested in...the medical parts.
