We received a phone call asking if we wanted to sell a Mexican timeshare. We were offered $25,000+ for one week. They said they had an investor purchasing multiple weeks. They sent a contact that required 5% commission after we receive our funds. We signed the contracts and returned. Today they sent a SAT form, stating that we need to pay 16% to the Mexico government but will be refunded after they dispurse the funds. They said that a company from Mexico is purchasing our timeshare and this is how it must be done. The refundable tax amount was $4,000+. Sounds like a scam. Has anyone else been contacted by this company?

This is a common scheme that has been going on for awhile. There is no tax!

Don't do it!

As others will say it is a scam, if you pay them you will never hear from them again & your money is gone.

The old saying "if it sounds too good to be true it probably is not true"

We agree this is a scam. We told them we were going out of town and they should pay the tax as we will not have access to our accounts to wire them money. We told them that we can receive funds but not send them. They are probably looking for someone else to scam now.
