Using Resort Credit at a Vistana Resort booked through Abound

Here's a mind twister. I used Club Points in MVC to book backwards to Sheraton Steamboat (where I own Flex). The reservation is sitting in MVC's system and it does show up under Trips in my Bonvoy account. If I click through Vistana.com to the linked MVC account, I can also see it sitting there in my MVC account along with my other MVC reservations.

I would like to use (9,000) banked StarOptions for resort credit during my stay. I wonder if they will honor it if it was booked through an external exchange...? Has anyone booked a Vistana property through II and then used SO's for resort credit? That would seem to be a similar situation.

Conversely, would they allow using (325) Club Points for resort credit since it is a Vistana property that was booked through MVC? Both resort credit methods yield $110 so I wonder if it would matter how you generated it. So many permutations of things to figure out!

Edit:
Nevermind. https://www.vistana.com/ownership101#understanding_banking_staroptions says:

Banked StarOptions® may be used to confirm reservations made during the Vistana Signature Network Float Period, beginning 8 months or less in advance of the requested arrival date. Banked StarOptions may also be used to purchase travel insurance, or to purchase Resort Credit for future reservations.

Don't see anything either way about Abound reservations vs VSN.

Yep, thanks, knew about the banked thing from discussions here already and always good to get it confirmed.

I wouldn't rely on the fact that it doesn't mention Abound vs VSN to mean it doesn't matter. It's more likely their website hasn't been updated yet to address the issue. I mean, gee, what else have they had to focus on? :p

Be good to hear from someone that did an II exchange or getaway into a Vistana property and then used Vistana resort credit via SO's, if such an owner exists on here.
