Using our 1 BR villa at WSJ for the first time as owners

We leave in 3 weeks for WSJ. We bought a 1 BR (3424) there sight unseen from a realtor on St. John (via internet). Has anyone been recently and can provide an update? We just booked our ferry reservations...any other advice on what to expect? Anything special we should take with us? Thanks for any advice you all can provide.

I am in your building right now and WOW - what spectacular views from up here...and I do mean UP.

We are on the top of a hill looking down on the whole resort. Had dinner at the beach café - very nice - I am going for an 'owner update' on Tuesday so will have more info then.
Concierge Eric very helpful re: what to do and see....nice small marketplace on-site - prices as expected :eek: but very handy.

I am doing 'visitation' this weeks - have already made the pilgrimage to Beags unit - what number is yours?

BTW, there are 20+ cargo containers on-site holding the 'stuff' for the renovation.

Please tell Fran that we are STILL WAITING to get our incentice SP for the Owners Update we did (and spent over 2 hours) - it has been months (since June 15) and WSJ sales has yet to get back to SVO. Our receipt got lost but they should have record - of course no one from WSJ will follow up because they are too busy living in paradise.

I have email Fran a few times with no response - and have spoken with SVO numerous times (and they are still waiting...) - Fran is even in a photo that I posted showing the BV units. Still no 5000 SPs for the update.

I wrote a long WSJ trip report in June with photo links.

We will be there Nov 8th to 15th staying at the Marriott St Thomas. May be we could visit each other and check out each other's place while there.;)

Pat -- I'm in Las Vegas and don't have access to my records. :mad: I've never created a mystarcentral account for this one (they say it's not connected to my other account due to middle initial, or lack thereof, or something like that). I'll try to figure it out when I get home on Thursday. Thank you for your willingness to spend your precious vacation time looking out for your fellow Tuggers! :D

I thought the renovations were suppose to be done by now...what's up with that? Pat, do you get free wifi in the villa? I made our reservations for the ferry a few days ago but never heard back. Is this typical? Have fun! I'm dreaming of paradise as I write this. Hope you're having good weather.

They were having internet problems early last week....when I emailed about the ferry, I did receive a reply with an attachment. But when I sent an email request for groceries on Monday 10/13, there was no response - I called on Thursday (post hurricane) and that is when they told me about the problem.
I would just send another email - it should send you an automated reply back with the ferry info.

Yes, there is free wifi.
