Has anyone had any luck recently finding something comparable when using the extended exchange period for legacy weeks? We had some points that we put into this and were hoping to use it with Interval but just not finding much - even looking out a year. I know you can't trade into a Hyatt through Interval but supposedly you can trade into an old Welk (now Hyatt) property. But we own Marriott as well and find so much more with our Marriott exchanges. Guessing this is because Marriott controls the inventory.

Marriott gives first choice to Marriott owners, then to Vistana. Likewise Westin opens inventory first to Westin owners, then Marriott so most good inventory doesn't make it to Hyatt owners

Not surprised - Hyatt seems like the red headed stepchild now. Marriott told us they didn't want Hyatt - just Interval - but it was a package deal.

The MVC priority period in II has been there since forever, long before MVW acquired ILG (including Hyatt) and is because MVC doesn't have an internal weeks exchange platform so they use II for that. Its no different from the Hyatt internal exchange process working before inventory goes to II. Nobody in II gets a look at Hyatt inventory until 5-6 months ahead, when the internal process has run, DVC works the same in II.

I am familiar with the Marriott priority period as I am a Marriott owner as well. However, we used to see a lot better choice of inventory when looking through Hyatt than we have recently. I see a lot of non-Marriott properties with my Marriott that I don't see when looking with my Hyatt.

This year the trading power of Hyatt in II was changed (devalued generally), so you won't see what you are used to seeing.
Hyatt has gone from exceptional value in II to just good. Could that account for the changes you have observed?
