I own a biennial 5000 contract.
I've got 1250 points left and it's an odd year contract.

I want to use my 1250 points towards a stay in Marco or Ft. Meyers beach next year in June. Do I have to first pay to rescue these points and then borrow from 2014? Will they let me borrow from 2014 to do this or am I limited to just the 1250 points?

I've seen that I can borrow ahead to do an RCI exchange so is it the same with a club booking?

So many rules, so many TS ownerships that I get confused easily. Sorry for the newbie questions.

It does seem confusing at first. I strongly suggest you review what the owner's guide has to say about point stretching.

Given that you own EOY odd, I think that depositing your remaining points into RCI will give you the most flexibility. HGVC trades very well within RCI.

To use your 2011 points for an HGVC stay in 2012, you must first rescue them.
Unlike RCI, HGVC will not draw points for a 2012 stay from 2011 unless rescued 1st.

If you need more than 1250 points for a stay in 2012, the reservation system will automatically borrow the exact number you need from 2013 (what you meant to say), without any action on your part.

This may limit your bookings in 2013, since you have no alotment in 2014 from which to borrow.

BTW, a rescue to HGVC, while limited to one year, may be used for either HGVC club reservation or for RCI reservations.

Thanks pianodinosaur,:hi:
I've just taken on one of those CMV units so definitely don't need anything else in RCI and would rather use it in the Club since availability seems to be easier for me to get a 2 bedroom.

I might take a look at the nightly points stuff in RCI and see if there is anything that I can use before years end. That might make sense. :)

Yeah I meant 2013. Sorry.

Anyway, I think I'm gonna have to keep ahead of myself and be borrowing ahead instead of banking, cause banking is definitely incurring extra fees that I'm trying to avoid. I'm glad that I only bought a biennial or I'd really have lots of points to bank.
