Wow, just checked out of Hyatt Hughjabds. I was expecting a $40 cleaning/housekeeping once fir our 4 nights (used Portfolio). Nope, it’s $125!

We did also go through a timeshare presentation too, they wanted us to add points to be a hybrid owner. Didn’t do it, but Hyatt is really having so many “additional” charges these days. So sad.

Yes, they doubled HRC resv split week cleaning fee from $40 to $80 and HPP split week cleaning fee from $60 to $125.

It certainly discourages short stays.

Here is the original thread:

The new fees will probably result in more owners leaving HRC. It is to the point where it just doesn't make sense to split a week, and this was one of the things we initially liked about Hyatt. We could choose to use all or part of our week. We own Marriott as well. We have no housekeeping fees, no split week fees, no fees to borrow points, etc. with Marriott. Hyatt has always nickel and dimed with their fees, but it has just gotten worse. Maintenance fees have gone up, but so have all the other fees. We too plan on leaving Hyatt next year. It is unfortunate, as we really like our home resort and many of the other properties.

Yes it really made me angry. I rarely do full weeks so now my cost is $200 per booking where it used to be $80 or so (split week fee + cleaning).

MVC fka Hyatt isn’t able to convince legacy owners to pay $$$$$ to convert to points system so they are making it as painful as possible with garbage fees as well as trying to boost their own income. Disgusting.

This hurts. I am a renter for a mid-week studio at Hyatt Northstar to ski next January. These increased garbage fees (plus a $45/day parking fee) mean that my cost in 2027 will increase by about 37.5% if the owner wants to net the same amount.

I think the intent is to drive anyone out who won’t buy Portfolio points.

Is there a split week fee at Highlands Inn? There used to be none because the point values are so high to stay there.

I have never stayed a full week so these fees are very impactful.

If they drive away all the legacy owners and cannot sell their horrible HPP product they will be stuck with a lot of MFs.

Update: I stayed at Hyatt Northstar last month; I rented from an owner.

I was not charged either a resort fee or a parking fee.

Ditto. I am very unhappy with the higher split-week fees, parking fees and cleaning fees. All garbage fees since MVC purchased the HVC program as they are trying to squeeze more money from existing owners.

Is there any way to know if these fees actually go to offset MF or are they all going directly to management? Charging a parking fee that will be used to offset potential expenses for upkeep are different than paying a fee just to enrich management with no offset for upkeep
