If I purchase a Westin Kierland Villa mandatory 2 bedroom lockoff, can I:
1. Lockoff for a fee (if any) and stay in my one bedroom and convert my studio for star options?
2. Convert the whole 2 bedroom lockoff into star options and then convert my star options into MVC abound points?
3. Lockoff for a fee (if any) and stay in my one bedroom and exchange my studio into Interval International (II)?
4. Can I convert my 2 bedroom lockoff into star options and add them to my One bedroom Westin Nanea (Maui) week I already own so I can get a 2 bedroom in Nanea instead of the one bedroom?

1. Yes. There is no fee to lock off.
2. No. You don't convert to StarOptions first. You have to elect the entire VOI for Club Points. It also has to be enrolled in Abound to elect Club Points. Resale VOIs bought after August 9, 2022 are not eligible.
3. Yes. There is no fee to lock off.
4. Yes, but when combining with StarOptions you can only make reservations 8 months from checkin.

If I waited until 8 months before my check in, would I lose my priority booking that I have with my 1 bedroom deeded week at Westin Nanea?

I don't think you'd be able to add StarOptions to an existing owned week booking. You would need to cancel that existing week reservation and basically convert both your Kierland and Nanea usage to StarOptions and make a single 2 bedroom StarOptions booking 8 months out. Or keep the Nanea booking as is and use StarOptions from your Kierland usage 8 months out to book an additional room as a separate reservation.

I thought everything at Nanea was view-based points (HomeOptions?) and nothing was sold as actual weeks...

I forgot about the all points-based ownership specific to Nanea. But I think what I said still holds for HomeOptions not being used in the same reservation as StarOptions. They'd either need two separate bookings (leave original 1BR HomeOptions reservation intact and book additional 1BR using StarOptions at 8 months) or rebook it all as a single 2BR StarOptions reservation at 8 months.

That is correct. When you buy Nanea, you don't buy a week, you are buying HomeOptions, usually in a value equivelent to a week. So the OP owns 81,000 HomeOptions every other year. In order to combine them with StarOptions for a single reservation, that has to be done at 8 months. One would lose the 12 months home resort booking priority.
