Upgraded to OF at WKOVN

We just arrived last night for 1 week. This is the first year that we were not allowed to make a room request when we made the reservation. So what was the result? We were upgraded from Garden View to Ocean Front. We always had nice ocean views from out Garden View villas, usually Bldg. 6. Now in Bldg 8, 5th Floor. Just can't figure them out. We have always made the reservations at the 12 month mark, so that can't be it. Anybody have any ideas why the upgrade?

Funny, because we are usually put in Building 6, but last year we got an OF upgrade to the 5th floor on bldg 8. Maybe the room is haunted? :)

I do wonder if people expecting OF are put off by the construction site view, and if some folks would rather have a view of the coy pond than a backhoe loader. We have a toddler boy, so clearly any view of heavy moving equipment is preferred.
