Update On My WSJ Purchase

I forked over the total amount due on November 18th and then, not a word.

I emailed the title company and they responded immediately explaining that the 2002 taxes (I think other folks may have had similar problems with this)
had not been paid and remained a lien on the property, so no clear title yet. The sellers were paying it that morning and all should be rolling along again.

Cannot wait to splash in the waters of Trunk or Cinammon Bay.

Taxes through 2005 should have been paid (the property cannot transfer w/o these taxes paid - this is part of the Tax stamp that is provided). Taxes from 2006 through 2008 have yet to be billed (so watch out for this). For the week I just picked up - I had the sellers compensate me for the back taxes.

Be warned that when the property taxes are finally billed - they will very likely double (yikes and ouch) - and you will be responsible.
