I just wanted to let you know that Starwood did not exercise their right of first refusal on the New Year (Week 52) 2-bed Ocean Front Deluxe unit that I was in the process of purchasing a couple months ago.

They did make it very awkward, with multiple re-writes of the paperwork at their insistence, but the closing occurred last week, finally.

Quick question: I need to rent this unit out this year, as we had already rented one for ourselves to use, prior to finding this purchase. Does anyone know how long it typically takes, from closing to us being recognized as the new owners by Starwood (i.e. us being able to call and change the name on the reservation, as opposed to having to ask the old owners to do it for us)?

Thanks.

About 3 weeks from the day Starwood gets the new deed with your name.

Congrats - I know someone trying to sell their fixed week 51 - do you mind sharing what you paid (by PM)?
