Pick me up off the floor, I GOT IT!!!! No lawyers, no fighting, no nothing, first shot out of the bucket!! After filling out all the questions, pages and pages plus there was a place for explanation or as I called it "final thoughts" I poured my heart out and told the truth. I don't understand how people who are worse off than me don't get it. All I've heard was horror stories.

I've had more trouble with short term disability from Metlife thru work. Also got that approved today thru Sept. Wow!!!

I just got back from vacation with Tradewinds. Thanks to the captain, 1st mate and new friends I had plenty of help getting around the boat and getting in & out of the dingy. I almost fell out twice. Told them someone should have a video camera and we could split the $100,000 funniest video! I didn't even try to do the trail at the Baths. I'd a killed myself fer sure!!!

Thanks for all the support and advice!!! shaggy

My niece has MS and was already in a wheelchair when she applied for disability and they gave her a really rough time. Had to get Dr records dating bacK more than 10 yrs and had to hire a lawyer and go to court to get it. She was so exhausted from all the hassle. She now has a full time caretaker.

You are lucky they accepted the 1x papers you sent.

Kay, yes I deserve and need the disability but then I here about people like your neice and it just upsets me that there should be such a fight to get it. The only thing I can think of is at the local ss office she told me since I was close to retirement age anyway that I had a better chance than someone who was younger. She said as long as she has been doing it she can't find rhyme or reason for approval or denial. shaggy

My wife had a terrible time attempting to get one of her severely handicapped clients on disability. After many rounds of disapprovals, she sent a photo. She then received an immediate approval along with an apology which quoted that little bit about a picture being worth a thousand words. One never knows just what it takes to get through to some people. Glad it worked out for you but sorry you needed it.

Great news!!!

That's great news Shaggy!!! Amazing on the first try too! Looking forward to hearing about your trip at our next lunch get together.
