Good Morning All,

I have a owner reservation coming up at Coconut Plantation. I just received the email below and wanted to share so that anyone else that has an upcoming stay at Coconut Plantation. in Bonita Springs knows what's going on.

===========================================================================================================================

Dear Hyatt Residence Club Bonita Springs, Coconut Plantation Owners and Guests,

As you know, the resort was impacted by Hurricane Ian’s landfall and we continue to work on restoring the resort to its pre-hurricane condition. While every effort has been made to isolate storm-related restoration efforts on villa building floors, you will likely experience construction noise and the presence of contractors around the resort during your stay.

The following service and resort amenity modifications are in place and subject to further change:

  • PLEASE NOTE:  Elevator service is currently unavailable in three buildings due to the damage caused by Hurricane Ian. We cannot guarantee a room with elevator service will be available during your visit.
  • Our beach, Big Hickory Island, remains closed.
  • Housekeeping services are limited.
  • The river pool is closed and under repair.
  • The firepit is unavailable for use.
  • Camp Manatee kids club is currently closed.
  • The adjacent golf course, Raptor Bay Golf Club, is undergoing renovation and is currently closed. Please anticipate construction noise during business hours through Fall 2023.

Additionally, the following services and amenities are open:

  • Activity Center- The clubhouse is open with limited planned activities available for guests.
  • The “Wave” game room is open for movie viewing.
  • Sports court is open.
  • Fitness Center- Open 7am-7pm
  • On-Site Convenience Store: Plantation Provision Company is open 7:30-10:30am
  • On-Site Restaurant: Veranda Bar and Grill is open from 11am-6pm. All other on-site restaurants are closed.
  • Pools: The veranda lap pool, paradise lagoon pools, kiddie pool, and adults-only whirlpool spa are open. The river pool is closed and under repair.
  • Sauna/steam room

Beach Update

In the local area, work is underway to restore local beaches. Our beach, Big Hickory Island, remains closed. Additionally, beaches in Lee & Collier counties were also impacted by the storm. For more information about beach access in Bonita Springs, please visit the City of Bonita Springs website.

We were there the first week of January and had a wonderful time. We went to Vanderbilt Beach - got there early to get a parking spot in the garage. We enjoyed our time relaxing by the pools that are open and watching wildlife on the golf course.

There was a lot of work being done on the lazy river at that time. It appear the new pumps are being built above ground.
