I was approached by Carmen Cherico representing Timeshare Broker Associates and Magical Reality, LLC with an offer to sell my Hilton time share. Does anyone have experience working with Carmen or these companies?

It is a scam.

At some point, they will ask you for money upfront. They will call it an appraisal fee, an escrow fee, a tax, or whatever. They will tell you it will be refunded from escrow.

But there is no escrow; there is no buyer. Once they have your money, they will disappear.

If you do a search on this board, you will find dozens (maybe hundreds) of examples.

If you're interested in selling your Hilton timeshare, I'd urge you to contact one of the reputable brokers for Hilton. There are several that are mentioned on the Hilton forum as well as this forum. They will give you a realistic valuation of what you own and guide you through the process.

By "this board", do you mean the tug listings? Are these scams?

No, I meant on this forum. There are dozens and dozens of posts very similar to yours: an unsolicited offer to buy a timeshare.

The TUG Marketplace is just a group of listings by people who want to sell or rent. Nothing unsolicited; these are people who want to sell or rent.

The real Magical Realty has a scam alert on their website as they are aware scammers are using their name.
