Here is a great video showing “speculation” based on permits that have been filed. Universal has stated a few years ago they wanted to add a lot more hotel rooms. I wonder if they would ever get into the vacation club game. If so, would you buy? Universal has great content and with epic universe, one less theme park than Disney. A vacation club could do very well with universal fans. Id absolutely buy one........resale of course

I would consider it. Depends on what they charge. Of course, they already have timeshare presentation schedulers. Obnoxious people. Very pushy.

Last I saw they were Westgate reps.

I would be very surprised if they tried to start their own vacation club at this point. Maybe a partnership for an on-site resort with one of the existing timeshare brands.

Yeah, lets name a new road Universal Way, just to confuse it with Universal Blvd.

Idk, I think now could be a good time to get into the vacation club game. It would keep people staying longer. As it is now, most families do a split stay between Disney and universal. Most of the time is spent at Disney. Universal is trying hard to get people to see universal as its own destination. A vacation club could help. Id consider it over a DVC.

I would be a buyer. Especially if staying at the TS got the express lane pass like the deluxe hotels. We actually spend more time at Universal now that son is a teenager.

Agreed! I doubt the express pass would come with ownership, although it would be a HUGE perk to buying retail. I think I’d be a buyer as well.

Universal said a few years back the plan was to add many more hotel rooms and I believe they do well with the family units at cabana bay. I think I read somewhere that it was around this time in Disney parks development that they started DVC (three parks).

It seems there is land between EU and UO that is planned for a hotel or a park expansion. If they build a TS/Hotel and it sold well as vacation club points, I’m sure they can develop another resort or convert an existing hotel to add more TS units. If it doesn’t sell, they can just use the resort as a condo hotel.
