Yup, I see I was downgraded to "Member" from "Premier Silver" as I didn't obtain Titanium in 2024. My wife retained her "Premier Silver".

I have this situation happen every year with our Titanium benefit. I send an email copied to both Marriott Bonvoy customer service and MileagePlus customer service and they usually sort it out and the status updates.

Click here to get your free luggage tags for United Premier Silver from Bonvoy Titanium for Elites.
I believe you have to have a United account and be Premier Silver status to get this. Are you saying if you are a Marriott Bonvoy Titanium you also get this status? When I clicked the link I was asked for my United member number. Honestly my United Premier Silver status doesn't really buy me much........except for the free luggage tag. I get more benefits from my United Chase card.

When you do order the luggage tag you'll get this message:

Thanks for requesting your Premier Silver luggage tags. Please allow 8-10 weeks for processing.

If you click on the link when logged in, there is a button to request the luggage tags.

Bonvoy and United have a cross matching benefit. If you are Bonvoy Titanium you also qualify as United Premier Silver.

I am getting this message “ You didn’t qualify for Premier status this year, but there's always next year! Keep flying to reach Premier status in 2026.”

Don't I get status for being an Abound member only? Can’t remember? Just checked Marriott dot com and I am still titanium elite.

And when I click thru this link it says I am linked.

Did a chat, I had just told the agent that my accounts were linked from the Marriott side of things.

”Thank you for linking your Marriott Bonvoy account to your MileagePlus account and I am sorry to hear that your account is not yet updated. As much as we want to escalate your concern with Marriott, we have an update that they will not process any status match requests and escalations from January 1 up to March 4th as they are on the end-of-the-year qualification period and they are transitioning to new qualification period. Please do reach us back on or after March 5 so that we can assist your concern since it will be Marriott who will be providing your Premier Silver status with United. Thank you for your patience and understanding and again, we apologize for any inconveniences this may have caused.”

So if we fly United during this period we don’t get the status bump…but are to wait? I guess this means a slight downgrade, because benefits aren’t available for all months of the year, more like 3/4. Nice!

I think your advice of emailing both entities is the way to go. I rarely fly United so am not going to follow up now.

I find that emailing and copying both in the same email is the best way to go, because then it gets the left hand talking to the right hand.

I don't think I actually had this problem. I legitimately lost Premier Silver status with United since I didn't renew Bonvoy Titanium. It seems that my wife's Premier Status is correct as she renewed Titanium.

Mine comes from Marriott ( and now Vistana) ownership, doesn't yours as well?
I did see on the Marriott VC website my owner level went from Presidential to Executive as selling WSJ dropped me below 10,000 points. But executive still gets the same United benefit.

Executive only qualifies for Bonvoy Platinum. Premier Silver is attainable from having Bonvoy Titanium. Are you Bonvoy lifetime Titanium or renewed Titanium in 2024 with 75 nights? My wife and I both have Bonvoy lifetime Platinum. So we don't get any benefit from our Executive Owner Benefit Level. My wife got 75+ nights in 2024, but I didn't. Too many Westgate stays.

Yes, you are right! Although my account says Titanium I will be downgraded this year as I did not have the nights in and Executive is Platinum. I am only lifetime gold at 495 but have 9 years at platinum so should hit it in the next few years.
