Headed for the first time on Saturday to the Holiday Inn Orange Lake Resort - North Village. Any suggestions on unit request for a peaceful stay for two older couples in a two bedroom?

The 2BR units in the North Village are in 2-storey building clusters, with 2-4 units on the ground level, and 2 more units centred above, on the second floor. Some building clusters have 3BR end units on the ground level.

Although the North Village is generally pretty quiet, I suggest asking for a ground-level end unit. This way, you can be sure of only having neighbours to one side, and not above your unit.

Hope that helps.

The previous information is correct. We stayed there last year in an upstairs unit so that no one would be over our heads. There were people below us. You should request a unit not far from the East Gate. This made entering and leaving the resort so easy once you learn the way. Orange Lake's property is huge. You can get the shuttle to other areas of the property if you do not want to drive.

we stayed there some years ago in building 3756 in the 2 bed upstairs unit. It was on the par 3 lighted golf course, which is nice but the fireworks are hard to see due to the light on golf course.

One evening it was raining the lights were off and the fireworks were nice.. the pool area there is nice with the 0 entry pool and water slide the kids loved it.

that was in 2003

( I alway write the building and unit number on confirmation sheet so if we go back I know where we stayed before. ) OCDish a bit

I used to do that as well as staple a copy of the resort map to our confirmation. Now I keep everything in a "timeshare" file in my computer. I scan the resort map & confirmation and even have some floor plans (from resort's website) as well as any special notes on the resort or area.

Guess I'm OCDish as well!
