I am sorry to hear about your hassles. I have been experiencing similar issues with the system trying to charge even though I paid the AI fee. The reps told me to go ahead and pay the fee at midnight and then it will be refunded when I call it in during the morning. Alternatively, call it in to reserve and they will waive the fee (if the inventory is still there).
Reported last week and the issue is still there. What a PITA. TUG users have reported that a switch in the system needs to be marked for AI but Reps told me they cannot change it.
