I will be checking-in to the Ocean Watch a couple of days late but wanted my son (19 years old) to be able to check-in "on time." I will certainly call MOW ahead of time to work things out. In the past I have been able to make arrangements for friends travelling with us to check-in ahead of us just by leaving their names (and authorization) with the front desk. Since my son has the same last name and same address on his driver's license I thought Marriott would be fine with that but am unsure as to whether there is an issue with someone checking-in under the age of 21. Any comments/experience/advice?
Thanks.

Is this your home resort? I would think that as an owner, since you are ultimately responsible for any damage, that it shouldn't matter, especially since you plan to be onsite in a couple of days. Hopefully the fact that the address is the same for him should help. Whatever you do, get whatever is said in writing, of course (but you know that) :) .

Never could understand the logic of letting 16-year-olds get driving licenses, and you have to be 18 for credit cards and buying a home, but 21 for hotels and 25 for car rentals.....

Good point. I should have mentioned that we exchanged our Grande Ocean for this week at MOW. It is not our home resort.
