Social Distancing
Self Isolation
Self Quarantine
Lock Down

The above have been discussed within the many posts on Corona virus related topics.

As an over 60 human with no pre-existing conditions, I am perfectly comfortable with social distancing. (In fact I have practiced this discipline on my on for years after becoming a widow.)

Not sure when/why it should become self-isolation.

Self-quarantine I believe is after a person has been exposed to a person who tested positive, or is showing synptoms.

Lock Down is when there has been a governmental mandate.

I'm feeling like others have suggested we all practice lock down measures when I am comfortable with social distancing.
For example, I am an active movie-goer and there is one I want to see. As far as I know, the theatre is still open. I have chosen not to go. However, I did attend a small group meeting a few days ago which usually has a maximum attendance of 10. (There were only 3 of us.) I have not been to a grocery store for a week. No hoarding urge, and only thing I am low on is half and half for my coffee. Will probably pick some up tomorrow.

All 4 points in a way scare me. From this experience, I can see some sick depot creating a virus to destroy other nations. The damage from this whole thing is yet to be calculated. We are all very vulnerable from this economically, politically and medically.

Wow. Similar thought crossed my mind recently. I was thinking of how ugly the older diseases struck -- in comparison to coronavirus. And I drifted into the realm of 'what-if'. Thankfully did not dwell there for long.

Yes, I hope this is resolved quickly. Canada is actually starting to think of banning all International Travel. Taking away travel because of virus threats can become a slippery slope real quick.

We are only a few weeks in and we see our Cruise and airline industry at risk.

Part of the problem with the Airline Industry and Cruise Industry is that many of them took on huge debt after them last Recission to respond to the up swing in travel.

Yep,

And many companies smorged on debt too. Now, their past decisions may come to roost.
